Copying a video to make it available on Moodle would be an infringement of Copyright.

The Australian Copyright Council has an Information Sheet on screening videos, DVDs & films in class, which reassures us that screening the video in class is okay, and also if we were to ‘reticulate’ it for a one off screening to the class it would be okay.  However the copying of the whole item and placing it on continuous access, even to a restricted audience via Moodle, would not.
