Q. How do I exclude the author or year from a reference in a Word document using EndNote?

To edit an in-text citation/reference in Word:

1. In Word, go to the EndNote tab
2. Click on the in-text citation/reference that you would like to exclude the author or year from so that it is highlighted in grey.
3. Click on Edit & Manage Citation(s) in the EndNote tool bar.
4. From the Formatting drop down menu, select Exclude Author or Exlude Year
5. Click OK
