There are two main ways to merge your EndNote libraries.

1. Copy and paste / Drag and drop options

To do either of these, open the relevant EndNote libraries.

To copy, select the reference(s) you want to copy. Then Edit - Copy. Click in the new library location, then click Edit - Paste.

To drag and drop, select the required references. Use the mouse to drag the selection to another library.

2.  Import option.

Go to File - Import - File.

Choose the EndNote library you want to merge.

In Import Option, select EndNote Library

Then select Discard Duplicates.

Import.

Note: The moved reference(s) will now be assigned a different record number in the new library they have been moved to. If you have used those particular references before in a current Word document, you may have to re-input those references.
