The UFO is a Futuro House which was previously located at the Dickson Planetarium. Futuro Houses were designed in 1968, the same year that the University of Canberra was dedicated. Very few still exist.
The Futuro has been fully restored and has a permanent home in the Building 5 courtyard near the UC College. It can be used as a study space - ask at the College reception to have the door opened.
