There is no single style used throughout UC. Check your Unit Outline to find out what style your lecturer prefers.

Common styles:

  • APA and Harvard are the most common styles used at UC. They are 'author-date' styles.
  • The Australian Guide to Legal Citation is used by the Law school.
  • Chicago is used by many architecture and design subjects.
  • Vancouver is used by some medical classes.

The Library's Referencing Guide will give you more information about how to use these referencing styles.
