There are copyright rules regulating what can and cannot be used in student assignments and in educational institutions.

The Australian Copyright Council has prepared information sheets for students. These can help you understand what you can include in your assignment and how much. This includes videos, music and images.

There are also fact sheets for researchers and multiple sections for educational institutions, which cover various media and uses.

The UC Library has a copyright guide which can help you understand how copyright affects you and there is a UC Copyright Guide as well.
