Q. How do I exclude the author or year from a citation in a Word document using EndNote?

Edit an in-text citation in Word

1. Click on the in-text citation that you would like to edit, it will then appear highlighted in grey.
2. Click on the EndNote tab at the top.
3. Click on Edit & Manage Citation(s) in the EndNote toolbar.
4. In the bottom half of the screen, there will be a Formatting drop-down menu. Select Exclude Author or Exclude Year or Author (year).
5. Click OK.
