There are a few different ways of backing up your EndNote library and it is highly recommended that you do so.
You can:
· Save the library to a USB – In the EndNote toolbar use File, Save a copy
· Compress your library and save – in EndNote toolbar use File, Compressed library and follow instructions.
· Use the sync function to synchronize with EndNote Basic (Web). This is not recommended as if your desktop library corrupts, it may corrupt the online library as well. (You will be prompted to create an EndNote Web account if you have not yet created one)
