There are a few ways to merge your EndNote libraries.
Right-click menu
- Open the library you wish to take the references from
- Select all your references
- Windows: Ctrl + a
- Mac: Command + a
- Right-click to bring up a menu
- Hover your mouse over Copy references to
- Select either New Library or Choose Library
Drag and drop options
- Open both libraries
- Select the references you want to be moved in the old library
- Drag them over into the new library
Note: The moved reference(s) will now be assigned a different record number in the new library they have been moved to. If you have used those particular references before in a current Word document, you may have to re-input those references.
