Most items in the General Collection can be borrowed for 21 days. (DVDs and items with a '7 Day loan' sticker may be borrowed for 7 days.)

UC staff, PhD, Masters by research and Honours students may borrow General Loan items for 90 days. The 90 day loan period can be reduced to a minimum of 21 days if an item is requested by another borrower or it is needed by the Library. An email is sent to the original borrower with the new due date of the item.

Items in the Short Loan Room can be borrowed for 3 hours or 3 days. If a 3 hour item is borrowed within three hours of the Library's closing time, it may be kept overnight, but must be returned by opening time the following day.

General Collection, 3 Day Loans and 7 Day Loans may normally be extended if the items are not overdue and have not been requested by another borrower.

Journals are not for loan unless otherwise indicated.
